As well as the hot springs, enjoy the feel of a town that condenses the fun and liveliness of the Azuchi-Momoyama era as you explore the facilities and savor food made with ingredients straight out of Osaka.

Entertainment shows that interweave townspeople from the old days are a must-see.

※Japan’s Azuchi-Momoyama period was about 440 years ago, when Toyotomi Hideyoshi unified the whole country from Osaka Castle. The town was vibrant and it truly was a glorious period that can be called Osaka’s golden age.

Enjoy historical entertainment and how it felt to be a townsperson during Osaka’s golden age, 440 years ago, during the Azuchi-Momoyama period

After checking in at the Obanjo front desk, choose one that you like from several types of yukata (a light cotton kimono), and transform yourself into a townsperson.

Before enjoying the hot spring, let’s visit Hoian Street.

Slip back in time to the town of Osaka as it was during its golden age – the Azuchi-Momoyama period (1573-1598)!

Filled with colorful paper lanterns, this street is photogenic. It will be a hit on your Instagram!

Eat and drink at Kuidaore Place, enjoy a Japanese festival on Benten Road, and experience how it felt to be a townsperson in the days when samurai still existed.

At Japanese temple festivals nowadays, too, you can find unique Japanese activities like scooping up Superballs.

The huge arched Taiko Bridge is another photogenic spot.

On the other side of the bridge is the Solaniwa Tenjin Shrine, which has been modelled on real Japanese shrines.

Swing the rope to ring the bell of the Solaniwa Tenjin Shrine and it will divine your fortune. Please give it a try as a memento of your trip to Solaniwa Onsen OSAKA BAY TOWER.

By the way, two cats are hiding behind Solaniwa Tenjin Shrine.

It is fun to try to find the hiding cats. There are other cats hidden throughout the complex, too. How many can you find?

Enjoy Solaniwa Onsen’s 9 different types of baths filled with natural spring water pumped up from 1,000 meters below ground

Now we head to the main event – the hot spring! Take the elevator to the 5th floor.

The Solaniwa Onsen is a natural hot spring of slightly alkaline water sourced from 1,000 meters below ground. You can enjoy nine different types of hot baths filled with water dubbed “beautiful skin spring water.”

Look out on the view of Solaniwa Onsen’s grand garden as you relax in a Garden-viewing Bath

Feel like you have stayed at a traditional Japanese inn or been on a hot-spring trip, by trying the different baths here. They include the open-air Origin Bath, into which “beautiful skin spring water” flows directly from the source, and the seasonal variations of the Theme Bath.

The color, scent and temperature of each bath is different, so please discover the one you like best.

A specialty noodle store, Bentenmen, where you can eat noodle dishes from all over the world

Bentenmen, a specialty noodle store where you can eat noodle dishes from all over the world, is popular with foreign tourists. Of course it serves Japanese udon noodles, but also Singaporean laksa, Chinese dandan noodles and Italian pasta. There is enough choice to satisfy even foreign tourists who want a break from Japanese food.

Popular for its extensive menu and soul food that is unique to Osaka – Nawanoren

At the Nawanoren pub, there is a rich range of food and alcohol, starting with soul food that is unique to Osaka.

Not only are there appetizers to go with your drinks, but also a meal menu that includes set meals and bowls of rice topped with seafood, as well as desserts that will please the ladies.

Solaniwa Onsen’s centerpiece – a vast Japanese garden of 3,300 square meters – the Sky Garden!

The Sky Garden is a vast Japanese garden where we recommend you take a walk after eating or taking a bath

As well as the garden itself, within the garden are many photogenic spots, such as the line of ‘torii’ shrine gates and the Solaniwa Koushindou temple.

At the Solaniwa Koushindou temple, write a wish on a ‘musubi-chan’ and hang it on the temple. Let’s hope your wish comes true.

The nighttime atmosphere of the illuminated Sky Garden is beautiful, too. You will be able to take gorgeous photos then, too, with a different ambiance to those taken during the daytime.

You can have a whole day of fun at Solaniwa Onsen OSAKA BAY TOWER.
